About Alan

Alan has been exercising a pastoral and teaching ministry for over fifty years, holding a Masters in Practical Theology. After retiring in 2013, he now gives much of his time to writing daily devotional commentaries.

His heart has always been to see Christians engage meaningfully with the Bible for themselves, discovering along the way the beauty and vast majesty of the kingdom of God.

Married to Mo, they have five children and eleven grandchildren (so far!) He loves playing both bass and acoustic guitar in worship teams.

Going For Gold

NEW RELEASE!

Email Alan to order: alanerichoare@gmail.com

When an athlete sets his sights on a gold medal, his life becomes focused in that direction. The habits and lifestyle that suited him before no longer align with his goal. In the same way, when we prepare ourselves to live whole-heartedly for God's kingdom, we need to leave behind a life of mediocrity. The attitudes and behaviours which we live with, need to be examined and challenged.

The Wardrobe

NEW RELEASE!

Available to buy from Broad Place

Lucy’s journey into the Land of Narnia via a wardrobe mirrors our invitation to explore the Kingdom of God through the Bible.

But how did this sacred text come to us? Can we rely on its authenticity? Why are there numerous translations? What overarching narrative does it convey? Where do we start when reading and studying it?

Seasoned Bible teacher Alan Hoare delves into these questions and more in his meticulously researched book. He offers a wealth of insight from his personal relationship with the Bible, explores the sweeping arc of Biblical history and invites us to discover both the sacred text and the God who inspired it.

If you’re passionate about your Christian growth, enter The Wardrobe today.
